Metro
The closest metro station to the University of Maryland campus is the College Park–U of MD station on the Green Line. A free UMD shuttle bus (104) takes passengers from the metro station to campus every 15 minutes. Get off at the very first stop on campus—the Glenn L. Martin Wind Tunnel Building—and walk two minutes to the Iribe Center.
Parking
During the symposium, parking is FREE on the University of Maryland campus in student lots (parking lots that start with a numeral). The closest student parking lot to the Iribe Center is 11b near the Xfinity Center. Per the walking map below, you can follow the red dashed line through campus to the Iribe Center, or the blue line on the scenic walking path. Both take about 10 minutes.
The closest PAID visitor parking on the UMD campus is in Regents Parking Garage, which is about a 15-minute walk on the orange path to the Iribe Center, as indicated on the walking map below. Visitor parking starts at $3.45 an hour or $15 per day, and is accessible at pay stations or through the Parkmobile app.
The closest PAID parking lot to the Iribe Center is located diagonally across the street next to The Hotel as indicated with the yellow line on the map below. Payment is accessible through the SpotHero app and varies depending on the selected hours, but is substantially less than paying through the QR code signs on site, which cost $4 per hour or $15 per day.
